Bunka Knife: A traditional Japanese knife

Made by a traditional forge that utilises swordsmithing techniques , this knife will support you with an easy grip and sharp cut! Bunka knives have angled sharp edges, and are perfect for use to make delicate and decorative cuts, and in particular for thinly chopping vegetables. Furthermore, as the width of the blade is quite wide, there is a sense of security with it, and it chops firmly against the chopping board, and has the characteristic of making chopping ingredients uniform easily. As well as this, it is lightweight and easy to handle, making the burden on the hand lessen, and is comfortable to use for a long time to cook with. It is an all-round knife that is perfect for preparing fish and meat, while also being the perfect knife for cutting vegetables in particular when you want to create a beautiful finish.

The Bunka knife is a type of all-purpose knife that is used widely in Japan, and is a knife that is suitable for cutting all manner of ingredients from meats and fish, to vegetables. A knife that combines the traditional Japanese style of knife with the amazing qualities that many Western Knives have, they have become extremely popular as knives for general homes. With a characteristically wide blade edge and slightly rounded tip, it is a safe knife that is extremely easy to use.

The black surface of the black-hammered knife is created during the forging process, as a result of an iron oxide film being produced. This black iron oxide film is strong against rust and is easy to maintain. As well as this, there is no other knife that looks like this, giving it a rustic and beautiful expression.
