Made using 100% Cotton Sashiko Fabric!
Sashiko fabric can vary greatly, even if they look similar, with the thickness of the thread, the tightness of the weave, and the final steps all changing the characteristics of the fabric. At Kusakura, from the very beginning of the fabric weaving process, they have been able to test these differences for themselves. The fabric that they have chosen for this pair of trousers is close to the lightness and breathability of Kendo uniforms, and is a 100% cotton made for judo sashiko fabric. Cotton is not only soft to the touch but is also brilliantly moisture-absorbent, which makes it a comfortable fabric even if you sweat while wearing it. What’s more, the more you use it, the more the fabric conforms to the movement of your body!
Tough with a double knee structure
The knee which see most of the burden in pants has been created using a double knee structure that uses layered sashiko fabric. It is designed to resist movement and friction, making it suitable for tough use. Movement was also a key part when they designed these pants. Opening your legs wide, lowering your hips in a squat, and moving your body weight about. No matter the movement, they looked to create something that didn’t hinder your movement.
