Hanafuda normally exist in two colour variations, a red back and a black back. Even if the back is a different colour, the surface design is generally the same. However, with the Tokyo Hanafuda, the cards have evolved, and for the separate backing, new designs have been given to both. For the red-backed cards, Tokyo in the day has been represented, while the black back shows off Tokyo at night, meaning that you can enjoy the different experience of the city.
