A special Tatami material

The washi tatami is made of kikaisuki washi (machine-made washi paper), which is durable, antibacterial, and water-repellent. In keeping the soft rush grass’s texture and natural qualities while getting rid of its weak points, the creators were able to achieve a highly convenient product! Additionally, it opened up the door to a wide variety of color options, combining traditional beauty with modern functionality.

Water & Stain Resistant

Washi tatami has outstanding water repellency and is resistant to water and stains. You can keep your tatami mat beautiful for a long time by just easily wiping it dry if you were to ever spill a drink on it. This greatly reduces the time and effort required for traditional tatami maintenance.
