These pouches and cases are made of kimono fabric and obi (kimono belts). It is a highly functional material packed with traditional Japanese culture, techniques, and aesthetic sense. Unfortunately, kimonos that are usually a family heirloom are now sleeping in a drawer and thrown away as garbage. Using such vintage kimonos, we combine them with leather and other materials to give them a second life and make them into Japanese accessories that can be used in everyday life. This project is a one-of-a-kind item with no two identical fabric colors, patterns, or materials.
