The tip of the 001 is not as sharp as that of a normal cutter or knife. It has been designed so that it cuts through tape, but has the sharpness of a paper knife. What's more, The OOPARTS-001 cuts through packing tape but can’t reach too far into the box, thanks to its specially designed tip that is slightly curved to help it cut through the tape, but also with a carefully chosen angle that lets it cut without cutting deeply.
