Nishijin Ori Tote Bags: Traditional Kimono Fabric Revived!

Using specially handmade nishijin brocade fabric, the creators have created stylish tote bags to give unused fabric new life! Fabric that can’t be used to make kimonos or belts are still pieces of fabric that are made using the skills of craftsmen who have cultivated their talents over the years. Carefully selecting fabric from hundreds of different beautiful nishijin ori fabric,  they are then revitalised into tote bags. From one piece of fabric, only 3 box tote bags or 7 flat tote bags can be made. The design of the Nishijin Ori items changes depending where on the fabric the piece is taken from.
