The truly unique Tosa Knife
Tosa Knives have been made in the Tosa region of Shikoku for over 400 years, and the method of making the knife has been passed on down through the years. The main characteristic of this knife is that the metal is heated to a high temperature and then free-forged by hammering it into shape. This means that there is no set shape to these knives, and to make a truly awesome knife, depends ultimately on the individual skill of each craftsman. They are truly unique knives.
Usable by All!
The multipurpose Tosa Knife is a double-bevelled knife. This means that it is easy for beginner chefs to use, and unlike single-bevel knives, it lasts longer. As well as this, no matter if you are left-handed or right-handed, you can use the knife in the hand you are comfortable with without a problem!
