An Ultra Thin Rim for a wonderfully comfortable mouth feel
Thanks to the high-level polishing technology in Tsubame-Sanjo, the rim of the cup where you drink has been shaved to an extreme thinness. From the moment it touches your lips, there is no stress or uncomfortable feeling, and the crispness of the beer passes straight into the mouth. This thinness as well as the smoothness of the lacquer, makes the flavour even more mellow and refined.
A Beautiful Urushi Lacquer Coating
For these amazing tumblers, they have been created using byakudan nuri, a lacquering technique that uses natural urushi lacquer to give the tumblers a special layer. Over gold leaf that appears like it is flowing, transparent natural urushi lacquer is applied in layers. Despite being metal, a surface with a soft and pleasant touch similar to wood has been realised.
